New Tech Network/Project-Based Learning

Seaside Middle School forms part of the New Tech Network, one of the nations leading provider in Project Based Learning (PBL). Together we are building a community that inspires students to server others and their future selves. We engage in rigorous, collaborative, and inquire driven learning. Our students develop skills, strategies, and passion to explore, discover and innovate.

Project Based Learning (PBL)  lies at the heart of the instructional approach. PBL uses inquiry and connected subject matter to engage students and critical thinking about issues and questions relevant to our students lives. All of our students engage in meaningful collaboration in classrooms. Teachers work collaboratively with students who in turn work in teams to solve problems, manage projects, and utilize verbal and written communications skills daily. The collaborative culture promotes trust, respect and responsibility.
