Dear Seaside Middle School Families,
We are overjoyed to welcome all new and returning students and families to what promises to be another exciting, enriching, and inspiring school year at Seaside Middle School. As proud Eagles, we enter this year with energy, purpose, and a deep sense of gratitude—for our school’s history, for the strength of our community, and for the trust you place in us to educate and care for your children each day.
MPUSD's theme this year, Honoring the Past, Shaping the Future, reflects our commitment to carrying forward the values, traditions, and spirit that have long made Seaside Middle School a special place, while also embracing growth, innovation, and equity to ensure every student is prepared for the future. As a proud and growing Community School, we believe in educating the whole child—academically, socially, emotionally, and creatively—through meaningful partnerships, wraparound supports, and inclusive practices.
We are thrilled to continue this vital work alongside Mr. Justin Stokes, our Community School Coordinator. Mr. Stokes brings warmth, heart, and strong community connections that help bring services and opportunities directly to our students and families. Together with our amazing team of teachers, support staff, and counselors, we are building a school where every student feels seen, supported, and empowered to succeed.
We’ve made significant improvements across campus—enhanced classrooms, expanded academic supports, and increased access to enrichment programs in VAPA, athletics, clubs, and leadership. Every decision we make is grounded in our belief that students thrive in environments that are safe, engaging, and full of possibility. This year, we will continue to focus on providing strong, standards-based instruction, implementing meaningful interventions, and fostering a culture of consistency, connection, and care in every classroom.
To our parents and caregivers: thank you for entrusting us with your children. We recognize the responsibility and honor that comes with that trust, and we are committed to partnering with you every step of the way. Whether it’s through family nights, school events, or daily check-ins, we invite you to be an active part of your child’s middle school journey.
